1: Remove Cartridge2: Unplug the AC Power Cord
3: Hold down the RESUME button
4: Release RESUME after plugging in the AC Power cord.

Since your printer consumes ink not only for printing but also for other operations like cleaning, a certain amount of ink is wasted and it is collected by the waste ink pad. Therefore, the printer counts the amount of waste ink.
Once the amount of waste ink reaches the predefined limit, the printer indicates "MAINTENANCE REQUEST" and the waste ink pad should be replaced. Also, you must reset the maintenance error condition and the waste ink counter value stored in EEPROM on the mainbord of the printer.

The adjustment program enables you to perform maintenance and adjustment functions such as:

- EEPROM initial setting
- Ink Pad Counter reset
- Initial Ink Charge
- Head ID Setting
- Top margin Adjustment
- Bi-D Adjustment
- USB ID Input
Note: The above list is related to models Epson C20 and C40 only. INDIKASI "WASTE FULL ERROR"
Lampu warna orange dan hijau hidup secara bergantian sebanyak 7 kali dengan spasi warna hijau, mengindikasikan bahwa waste counter (main waste & platen waste) sudah lebih dari 100%, ini adalah kondisi terakhir setelah peringatan operator call error dengan kode lampu orange berkedip tanpa diselingi warna hijau sebanyak 8 kali.

SERVICE MODE
Dalam keadaan error maka printer dalam kondisi sibuk dan tidak siap dilakukan inspeksi, langkah awal untuk inspeksi diharuskan memasukkan printer pada mode service dengan cara sebagai berikut:
1। Dalam kondisi printer mati dengan printhead catridge terpasang, pada saat power off (tanpa listrik)
tekan dan tahan tombol power (sebelah kiri) kemudian berikan power (masukkan kabel listrik).
2. Dalam kondisi tombol power masih tertekan, tekanlah tombol resume (sebelah kanan) 2 kali,
kemudian lepaskan tombol power, dan tunggulah beberapa saat setelah lampu tidak berkedip.
3. Setelah lampu tidak mengindikasikan adanya error berarti printer siap untuk diinspeksi, apabila
masih ada indikasi error lain silahkan cek apakah printhead cartridge sudah terpasang, atau cobalahcek indikasi kode error tersebut।

EEPROM RESET
1. Silahkan pilih nomor port USB dari printer yang akan direset, perlu diperhatikan bahwa programGeneralTool tidak dapat digunakan apabila nomor port melebihi batas tertentu (20 port), apabila port USB sudah melebihi batas cobalah untuk menghapus printer-printer yang ada dan lakukan restart pada komputer, apabila port belum terhapus silahkan hilangkan melalui root didalam registry Windows.
2. Apabila diperlukan inisialisasi tipe printer tekanlah tombol "iP1500E" (untuk market asia non japan)
didalam kotak "SET DESTINATION", inisialisasi ini diperlukan apabila terjadi kesalahan tipe
printer dimana tipe printer tidak sesuai dengan daerah pemasaran (market area) atau tidak sesuai dengan kondisi asli (lihat tipe printer yang tertera di cover printer), silahkan cek tipe printer dengan menekan tombol "DEVICE ID" didalam kotak "GET DEVICE ID".
3. Berikan tanda cek pada pilihan "EEPROM CLEAR", selanjutnya lakukan test pattern dengan
menekan tombol "TEST PATTERN 1" atau "TEST PATTERN 3", dimana "TEST PATERN 1" akan memberikan printout data EEPROM dan melakukan test prinhead untuk semua nozzle (hitam dan warna), "TEST PATTERN 3" akan memberikan printout data EEPROM dan melakukan test printhead untuk nozzle hitam.
4. Matikan printer dan cabutlah kabel listrik, tunggu beberapa saat untuk memastikan printer benar-benar mati. Siapkan tank berisi tinta penuh dan selanjutnya hidupkan kembali printer dan tunggu beberapa saat setelah proses printhead cleaning selesai (tahap printhead cleaning pertama) dan lampu hijau tidak berkedip. Silahkan cek nilai waste counter dengan menekan tombol "EEP-ROM INFORMATION", pastikan nilai waste counter (nilai D) tidak melebihi 10%.
5. Matikan printer, tunggu beberapa saat dan hidupkan kembali printer. Selanjutnya printer akan masuk pada tahap printhead cleaning kedua. Silahkan lakukan test pattern untuk menampilkan printout data EEPROM (tanpa "CLEAR EEPROM") dan juga cobalah lakukan "Test Print Page" yang sudah disediakan oleh Windows melalui properties dari printer bersangkutan.

WASTE COUNTER RESET
Nilai waste counter (D) dalam prosentase merupakan gabungan dari main waste dan platen waste, reset dapat dilakukan secara terpisah dimana nilai "Dd" mengindikasikan nilai main waste (satuan mg) dengan nilai maksimal 135200mg (100%) dan "Ds" mengindikasikan nilai platen waste (satuan mg) dengan nilai maksimal 7600mg (100%). Silahkan cek penyebab error dengan menekan tombol "EEP-ROM INFORMATION".
Tekan tombol "MAIN" didalam kotak "CLEAR WASTE INK COUNTER" untuk reset nilai main waste, dan tombol "PLATEN" digunakan untuk reset nilai platen waste. Kedua tombol tersebut tidak akan menghapus seluruh data EEPROM termasuk data jumlah kertas yang telah dicetak. Proses reset ini tidak tidak akan menginisialisasi ulang data EEPROM, hasilnya tidak melalui tahap printhead cleaning yang terjadi 2 kali pada EEPROM RESET.

Blinking 2 Times Paper out (tidak ada kertas).

sensor pada PCB.

Blinking 4 Times Ink tank not installed (tangki tinta tidak terpasang).
Blinking 5 Times Cartridge installed improperly (printhead cartridge terpasang tidak
benar), kemungkinan dikarenakan prinhead cartridge salah atau terjadi
kerusakan pada EEPROM printhead cartridge).
Blinking 8 Times Waste ink full warning (peringatan sebelum error nilai waste counter
melebihi 100%).

Pedoman Reset Ink Tank Full Error Canon IP1200 dan IP1600Tahap Pertama (Reset Hardware)
1. Matikan printer, lalu cabut kabel power.
2. Tekan dan tahan tombol Power (gunakan jari telunjuk untuk menahan tombol power).
3. Pasang kembali kabel Power.
4. Gunakan jari tengah untuk menekan tombol Resume sebanyak 2 kali.
5. Lepaskan jari telunjuk anda dari tombol Power.
6. Anda telah menyelesaikan tahap pertama untuk
reset Ink Tank Full Error (lampu power berkedip-kedip).

Tahap Kedua (Reset Software) agar Permanen
1. Download IP1200 & 1600 Resetter dari sini
2. Ekstrak / Unrar di folder C:\IP1200
3. Pastikan attribut semua file bebas dari Read Only.
4. Jalankan GeneralTool.exe
5. Pada USB Port pilih Port printer anda.
6. Pilih (centang) EEPROM CLEAR
7. Sediakan kertas kosong untuk print.
Lalu Klik tombol Test Pattern 1
8. Selesai Printer IP1200 dan IP1600 anda normal kembali.

Matikan printer, lalu cabut kabel power.
Tekan dan tahan tombol Power (gunakan jari telunjuk untuk menahan tombol power).
Pasang kembali kabel Power.
Gunakan jari tengah untuk menekan tombol Resume sebanyak 2 kali.
Lepaskan jari telunjuk anda dari tombol Power.
Anda telah menyelesaikan tahap pertama untuk reset Ink Tank Full Error (lampu power berkedip-kedip).

Tahap Kedua (Reset Software) agar Permanen

Pastikan attribut semua file bebas dari Read Only.
Jalankan GeneralTool.exe
GeneralTool iP1300 dan iP1700
Pada USB Port pilih Port printer anda.
Klik tombol Lock Release
Pilih (centang) EEPROM CLEAR

Buat yang pake printer IP1880 dan yang suka refill cartridge dan hasilnya ngebling, berikut ini ada software dan panduan untuk me-reset printer tsb।Sebagai informasi, resetter ini gak bisa mengubah status ink level indikator. Mungkin dari canon udah rancangan seperti itu. sehingga cara yang digunakan adalah mematikan status indikator untuk ink level.

Pertama download dulu softwarenya disiniSelanjutnya ikuti instruksi berikut ini:
1. Driver harus sdh terinstal dengan benar.
2. Hubungkan kabel
3. Selanjutnya, sebelum kabel power printer dicolokin ke listrik,
tekan dan tahan tombol power dan colok kabel power ke listrik
4. Sambil menahan tombol power, tekan tombol reject 2 kali lalu lepasin tombol पॉवर
5. Jalankan program reset yang udah di download.
6. Jangan lupa buka Lock Release di program
( Sekedar catatan : Untuk dapat melihat menu lock release, minimal resolusi
layaranda berjalan di 1024 x 728 )

7. Lalu pilih set destination ke ip1880
8. Tandai CLEANING dan EEPROM CLEAR
9. Lalu klik MAIN dan PLATEN
10.Kalo langkah di atas udah di lakukan, lalu lakukan TES PATTERN1

menghapus data EEPROM sekaligus memberikan nilai default
awal setelah data dihapus, selanjutnya lakukan test pattern dengan menekan
tombol "TEST PATTERN 1". "TEST PATERN 1"
akan memberikan printout data EEPROM dan
melakukan test prinhead untuk semua nozzle (hitam dan warna).
4. Matikan printer dan cabutlah kabel listrik,
tunggu beberapa saat untuk memastikan printer benar-benarmati.
Siapkan tank berisi tinta penuh dan selanjutnya hidupkan kembali printer
dan tunggu beberapa saat setelah proses printhead cleaning selesai
(tahap printhead cleaning pertama) dan lampu hijau tidak berkedip.
Silahkan cek nilai waste counter dengan menekan tombol "EEP-ROM INFORMATION",

Cuma pengen berbagi pengalaman nih, saya udah lama make printer canon mulai dari type yang i320, i255, i1000, i1200, i1600, i1700, i2200 sekarang i880. diantara semua type itu yang paling awet mudah resetnya itu yang i320, 255 n i1000. kalo udah blink pertama reset manual dulu:
1. matiin power (cabut kabel)
2. tekan resume
3. colok power (masih tekan resume), trus lepas resumenya
4. trus tekan resume 4 kali (bakal kelihatan lampu -orange-hijau-orange-hijau)
5. lepas resume
6. turn off power then turn on
abis itu baru di reset pake softwarenya. nah kalo utk yang seri i200, i1300, i1600, i1700, i2200, cara reset manualnya agak beda dikit yaitu pada langkah ke empat cuma di tekan 2 kali saja, tapi kadang ada printer dr type ini yang tidak bisa di reset manual. jadi selama pengalaman saya ada yang bisa di reset manual ada yang tidak. jadi cara saya utk ngatasi sering-sering di cek pake software reseternya (general tools) utk lihat jumlah printingnya udah berapa halaman, jadi sebelum blinking ya direset software dulu. utk software resetenya yang saya punya ada utk i320, i1000, i1200,ip13000,ip15000,i1600, i1300,i1700, i2000,i2200, ip1880,1100,2500 semuanya ada di blog ini coba aja deh GRATIS , semoga bermanfaat.

Here some tips if you still get error after changing the date:
1. delete folder ;C:\Adjustment Program\Stylus C58
2. delete registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EPSON\PTSG\Stylus C58
delete the folder registry not just the key
3. Don't forget to set the date into 9 Nop 06 before running the program

EPSON C67 Reset Software

actually i,m also using C67, C68 and C87 epson printer with CISS or continuous ink supply system but unfortunately this practice waste me a lot of ink just by doing printhead clean-up.
this technology is not really worth buying for.

this because if can can just figure out how this printer feed ink by original cartridges you can see easily the problem brought by this CISS.

Basically the main problem is the pressure difference between the tank and the ink delivery cartridges with the built-in auto reset chips, this, even just simple pressure calculations you can actually derive a negative pressure pulling the ink towards the tank,
every after printing (if you can notice) you have to do the routine head clean-up and therefore wasting a lot of ink. base from experience it would be much better if you just refill the original cartridge and transfer the auto reset chips to the genuine cartridges.

so by doing this you can save the life of your printerhead, ink pad etc. also the original cartridge contain a sponge which also aid in filtering the refilled ink unlike the ciss cartridge that has none.

Reset waste tank counter for canon printer

The waste-ink counter for the BJ F900, F890, F700, F500, S900, S820, S750 and S520 are all reset in the same manner.
Turn off the printer.
Press and hold the RESUME button, then press and hold the POWER button.
Release the RESUME button, then press and release the RESUME button two more times in succession. (youre still holding the POWER button during this). The printer mechanics will move momentarily.
You are now in Service mode.
Pressing the RESUME key will select a function; for example, pressing RESUME 4 times will select the clear waste ink counter function. The lamp will alternate color with each key press.

1. service/factory test printout, including ink sensor check
2. EEPROM info printout
3. EEPROM initialization
4. Clear the waste-ink counter
5. Printer model setting. (more selections beyond this- leave this alone)
After selecting mode, press the POWER button to commit the change, and return to the top of the function selection menu. Pressing the POWER button again turns off the printer for a restart.
If you have a defective printer head, your power lamp may flash during the service mode key-in, and info printouts may not work. In this case, clearing the waste-ink counter may not fix your problem.

Here's some tips for your Canon Pixma IP1000. I have two IP1000 printer, one is broken because the head need to be replaced, but the other is still powerful. I like this printer because the simple operational
the low budget, the one that I like most is the fast printing.
The problem that I have when using this printer is when the ink waste absorber is full, and he start to blink. Ok guys, Here's some tips for you who still use this printer.

How to physically change the ink waste absorber? Pixma ip1000
The waste ink absorbers can be found at the bottom of the printer case.
Normally you'll have to open the printer case, loose the screws of the print unit and remove the hole print unit from the lower part of the printer case.

4 step to Reset waste ink tank counter CANON PIXMA iP 1000
STEP 1:- Disconnect printer from AC power
STEP 2:- Press and HOLD the POWER button, and connect printer to AC power
STEP 3:- release the the POWER button
STEP 4:- Press the POWER button again

If your IP1000 Blinking try this Tips :
Step 1: Manual for Service mode
1. Unplug POWER and USB cables.
2. Open door, PRESS and HOLD the POWER button.
3. Connect the POWER cable.
4. Close door, then release POWER button.
5. Power ON your printer a usual (It should not blinking anymore)

Step 2 : Software for Permanant
1. Reconnect the USB cable and turn ON your Printer
2. Open "General Tools for iP1500", Downloadh The Software here
3. Select (USB PORT)
4. Choose CLEAR WASTE INK COUNTER - MAIN
5. Choose CLEAR WASTE INK COUNTER - PLATEN
It should be working, coz my printer now work normally

Notes. Before you decide to reseting the waste ink counter, you should really clean up the ink absorber, or else you will find the ink watse absorber overflow...

Reset Printer Canon MP145 and MP160

error ink cartridges are not installed properly (error E5) :

Step 1 : Push Power switch by continue (Tekan Power On/Off)
Step 2 : inserrt plug(Masukan Power, Power Tetap di Tekan)
step 3 : Tekan Tombol Reset 1x, lepaskan Tombol Pwr, Tekan Reset dua kali lagi Sampai Menjadi 0 (tekan tombol tanpa jeda)
Step 4 : Push + display change from 0 to 1 (tekan tombol + untuk merubah 0 ke 1)
Step 5 : Push Power switch again , Printer will be print 1 page(tekan tombol power –> tombol start sampai ngeprint 1 hal.)
step 6 : Open cover (buka tutup printer)
Step 7 : Unplug (cabut kabel power)
Step 8 : Take out ink 40 and 41(lepaskan catridge 40 dan 41)
Step 9 : Insert plug again (pasang kabel power)
Step 10 : Push power switch (tekan tombol power)
Step 11 : Open cover (scan cover) (buka tutup scaner)
Step 12 : Inksert ink 40 , 41 again (masukan catridge 40 dan 41)

waste ink counter (error E16) : 1. Matikan printer (kabel power masih tercolok), tekan dan tahan tombol STOP/RESET kemudian tekan tombol ON/OFF
2. Tahan tombol ON/OFF, tekan tombol STOP/RESET 2x
3. Lepaskan kedua tombol dan printer akan masuk ke SERVICE MODE
4. Printer akan charging
5. Setelah printer selesai charging, tekan tombol STOP/RESET 4x. (Waste ink counter reset)
6. Setiap kali tombol STOP/RESET ditekan, lampu ON/OFF akan berubah warna hijau dan oranye
7. Matikan printer dan cabut kabel POWER
8. Hidupkan kembali printer.

1. Copot kabel power dan kabel USB.

2. Buka pintu dan tekan/tahan tombol Power.

3. Colokin kabel power.

4. Tutup pintu, kemudian lepas tombol Power

For Reset by software

or Step 1: Manual for service mode

1. Turn off the printer. And disconnect the printer cable.

2. Press and hold the POWER button, turn on the printer.

3. The indicator (L.E.D.) should be green.

4. Press and release the RESUME button , the indicator (L.E.D.) should be orange.

5. Press and release the RESUME button again, the indicator (L.E.D.) should be green.

6. Release both buttons.

step 2 : Software for Permanant

1. Reconnect the printer cable.

2. Open General Tools software and select (USB PORT)

3. Choose (SET DESTINATION 1) And it should be reset.

- Press INITIALIZE!
